Analog

A continuously varying signal that transmits data by modulating the amplitude, frequency, or phase of an underlying electromagnetic waveform over time. Unlike digital signals represented by discrete values, analog signals convey information through the smooth fluctuations and patterns of the propagated wave itself. These types of time-varying waves are commonly used to transmit voice, audio, and video content over telecommunications networks and broadcast systems prior to digitization.
