Agile with Scrum

Scrum is an agile framework designed for small, self-organizing development teams using short, repeatable work cycles called sprints. Work is broken into small, manageable portions prioritized by the product owner. Iterative sprints, typically two-weeks, enable regular inspection and adaptation. Daily standup meetings called “scrums” synchronize the team and track progress. The framework promotes empirical process control, team accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.

The core roles in scrum are the product owner, scrum master, and development team. The product owner represents stakeholders and prioritizes work in the product backlog. The scrum master facilitates team interactions and removes impediments. The development team self-organizes to complete work in sprints and demos completed features.

Scrum provides visibility with sprint reviews and retrospectives. The regular cadence creates working software through rapid, iterative delivery and feedback.
